Magic Magic Michael Cera Juno Temple

It premiered at Sundance earlier this year and played at the Directors' Fortnight last month at Cannes, but it seems Sebastian Silva’s “Magic Magic” will not be playing at a theater near you. Instead, it’s going straight to DVD. What’s up with that? Either way, the first official trailer for the psychological thriller has just been posted online, giving you a taste of what the film’s all about.

“Magic Magic” stars Juno Temple, Michael Cera, Emily Browning and Catalina Sandino Moreno. As you can tell from watching the trailer, Cera’s role is definitely a change of pace for the actor. Temple plays Alicia, a young American girl, vacationing in southern Chile with her cousin and three of her cousin’s friends. Her cousin soon leaves to take an exam, leaving Alicia alone with the friends, causing her to slowly mentally unravel.

Again, the film’s eschewing a theatrical release altogether and will be available on DVD on August 6th. You can check out the trailer below.
