"Game Of Thrones" might be over, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to watch on TV. Indeed, while the networks might getting a bit quiet over the summer season, the cable world is still going very strong, as we recently noted in our Summer TV Preview. And one show way up high on our list is Steven Soderbergh's "The Knick," and a brand new trailer has dropped to show why we're so excited.

"Game Of Thrones" might be over, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to watch on TV. Indeed, while the networks might be a bit quiet over the summer season, the cable world is still going very strong, as we recently noted in our Summer TV Preview. One show way up on our list is Steven Soderbergh's "The Knick," and a brand new trailer has dropped, underscoring why we're so excited.

For one, it gives Clive Owen the quality leading man role we've been aching to see him in for a while now. Secondly, the premise is terrific, with the show following Dr. John W. Thackery, a doctor at New York's Knickerbocker Hospital at the turn of the century, pushing into the modern world of medicine. Or rather, what was considered modern at the time, with plenty of blood and bone to show that science and health still had a long way to go. Visually, Soderbergh looks pretty inspired here, with plenty of intriguing POV shots along with a distinct color palette as well.

"The Knick" arrives on Cinemax on August 8th. Watch below.
