Outside his collaborations with Edgar Wright and his stints in the franchise worlds of “Star Trek” and “Mission: Impossible,” Simon Pegg has admirably found the time to lead another movie here or there. This year finds the English actor doing his attempt at the feel good movie of the year in the adaptation of “Hector and the Search for Happiness” and the first U.S. trailer has arrived online to inspire you spend some money.

Hector And The Search for Happiness

Outside his collaborations with Edgar Wright and his stints in the franchise worlds of “Star Trek” and “Mission: Impossible,” Simon Pegg has admirably found the time to lead another movie here or there. This year finds the English actor doing his attempt at the feel good movie of the year in the adaptation of “Hector and the Search for Happiness” and the first U.S. trailer has arrived online to inspire you spend some money.

Following the two previous U.K. trailers, this new trailer doesn’t break any new ground or have much in the way of new footage. Instead it doubles down on the middle-aged malaise angle and the promise of a feel good message. Think of something along the lines of “Eat Pray Love” meets “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” and you wouldn’t be too far off the mark of what this trailer promises.

If nothing else, the adaptation of Francois Lelord’s novel will be reuniting “The World’s End” co-stars Pegg and Rosamund Pike, only with 100% less aliens. Watch the U.S. trailer for “Hector and the Search for Happiness” below. And keep your eyes on TIFF where the film will make its North American premiere.
