While the woulda/shoulda/coulda conversation about the awards potential for "The Monuments Men" will likely pop up again once reviews for the film start coming in, the bottom line is that it simply wasn't ready. Originally slated to arrive this month, George Clooney's WWII caper was pushed a couple of months so editing, effects and even the score could be finished in time without compromising quality. So with that caveat out of the way, and the production on schedule for a February release, a lot more is being shown off from the movie.

The past week or so has brought forth a newsreel-style trailer, TV spot and a batch of new images from the star-studded, historical action/comedy/drama. Clooney directs and stars in this one, with a bunch of his buddies joining up too (Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Jean Dujardin, Bob Balaban, Hugh Bonneville, and Cate Blanchett), to tell the true story of a platoon given the assignment of recovering stolen, priceless artwork from the Nazis. So basically, imagine "Ocean's 11" but with canvases instead of casinos. And while the period setting might make you think it's ripe for a batch of music from the era, the official soundtrack (via Film Music Reporter) is simply Alexandre Deplat's score, capped off by a rendition of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" by Nora Sagal.

The soundtrack lands on February 4, 2014 with the movie following on February 7, 2014. It'll also screen at the Berlin Film Festival
