We are just over six months from the first kickoff in Brazil for the 2014 World Cup, which means that the advertising onslaught for one of the biggest sporting events in the world is now underway. And while soccer stars and celebrities are usually expected to lend shine to the campaigns that will be launched, it's rare that an actual director will become a centerpiece for an entire ad.
And yet, that's the case for DirecTV Sports, who nabbed Oliver Stone to helm and appear in a spot. And no conspiracy theories here, just Stone's thoughts on what he hopes the experience will be like for everyone watching at home next summer.
