With "The Hunger Games" set to open this weekend and decimate the box office, in the wake of "Twilight" Hollywood has realized that the tween market not only has disposable income, they are more than willing to spend it. And next spring, another contender will step up to the plate, aiming squarely for the same demographic.

Stephenie Meyer -- responsible for bringing Edward and Bella into this world -- will see her non-vampire story "The Host" get dressed for the big screen, and with filming now under way, the marketing campaign is out of the gate very early with a new teaser for the movie. Granted, it has zero footage and only a very brief look at Saoirse Ronan in the lead role, but the filmmakers are hoping that the loud noises, bland voiceover and stock photography will raise goosebumps. But maybe they might want to explain the plot for those of us who haven't read the book?

The story is set in the near future, when alien parasite “souls” benevolently take over the consciousness of humans. One such “soul” named Wanderer inhabits the body of a dying woman, Melanie Stryder (Ronan), who just happens to be obsessed with finding the last group of surviving humans. Diane Kruger will play The Seeker, who is tasked with converting Melanie, who is a rebel soldier, in the hopes of quashing the movement. Yeah, we don't know what any of that means either.

Andrew Niccol -- who officially ran out of goodwill after "In Time" -- is directing, with William Hurt, Max Irons and Jake Abel rounding out the cast. "The Host" arrives on March 29, 2013. Watch below.
