Watch: Pedro Almodovar Models For Missoni & Features In Bizarre Video Ad Campaign

After making his leading ladies look gorgeous in film after film, it looks like someone decided that director Pedro Almodovar should get the model treatment.

Fasion house Missoni has put him alongside model Mariacarla Boscono, Spanish actresses Rossy de Palma and Blanca Suarez and more regulars from the label in a spread shot by famed photographer Juergen Teller. His appearance isn't quite so random, as he's apparently a longtime friend of the designer's family. "Pedro had told me for years that he was keen to make something with us," explained creative director Angela Missoni to the Telegraph. "So I asked him this time and he offered to model in the campaign…It is a homage to the Spanish lifestyle with women and girls who love to party and dance into the night. It has been a great experience for all of us."

Anyway, the spread is accompanied by this pretty terrible pop-up inspired ad campaign which looks like an art school disaster. But yes, Almdovar is in there among the crowd, so give it a look. Somehow, Pedro Almodovar as fashion model makes perfect sense. [images via Elle]

I love it when The Playlist dabbles with Fashion... two worlds collide. Remember when Kevin J tried to critique Jennifer Lawrence's outfit? Good times. Missoni is the worst though.
