Review: 'The Immigrant'Featuring some new footage -- including a pretty nifty little scene of Spider-Man tossing Gwen Stacy out of a window -- this international trailer actually seems to balance the grit and lighter sense of humor much better than what we've seen so far. It could be that, or maybe we're just beaten down enough already by the trailers to make peace with what's coming. But if anything, this spot mostly steers away from the "origin story" angle that Sony first tried to go with, and delivers more of the action beats they hope audiences will be wanting to fork over their hard earned cash for.

Curious to see how this will pan out. It really feels like the runt of the the summer litter at this point, but it might surprise people. Or not.
