When are North American audiences going to have a chance to get dirty with "Filth"? While the adaptation of Irvine Welsh's novel is gearing up for release overseas, there's no hint of it on the fall festival slate stateside, or even the whisper of a distributor. So we'll just have to keep looking at it from afar, and waiting to find out when we'll get our shot.

Until then, the promo for the movie keeps rolling along and today comes with it a PG teaser trailer for the flick that mostly works in just making you want to see the very adult movie. James McAvoy breaks bad in the lead role, playing a crooked cop who gets embroiled in an investigation that pushes him over the drunken, boozy edge. A pretty top shelf supporting cast surrounds McAvoy too, with Eddie Marsan, Jim Broadbent, Jamie Bell and Imogen Poots all on board, not to mention, a pretty nifty soundtrack.

"Filth" opens in Scotland on September 27th and in the U.K. on October 4th. Watch below.

Not interested in this movie at all. Too bad Bell can only get sidekick roles these days, and now he starts to do TV shows. Maybe it's a good thing. At least he can play a lead on small screen.

Finally good role for McAvoy and Bell. Nice shorties.
