Frank Underwood is back for a second helping of "House Of Cards," and it looks like the scheming, duplicitous world of Washington, D.C. is only getting more twisted in the next season of the hit Netflix show.

A brand new, full trailer for the show is here, and when Robin Wright purrs, "Let's make him suffer" you know this season is going to go some dark places. And while details for the next batch of episodes have been kept under wraps, a new synopsis is here to reveal the direction things will be going in.

Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) has masterfully maneuvered his way into the Vice Presidency, but his ascension faces threats on all fronts...

Investigative reporter Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara) is inching closer to the truth about Frank and Peter Russo (Corey Stoll) and will stop at nothing to break the story.

And Frank's wife Claire (Robin Wright), the newly appointed Second Lady, must deal with the bright glare of the spotlight and how the intense scrutiny eats away at their once private existence.

Let the butchery begin...

"House Of Cards" returns on Valentine's Day.

Looks amazing. I'm only nervous because I could have sworn that the creators said at the beginning that it would be a finite, two season narrative. I hope they stick with that. The first season had such great momentum to the plot, nothing felt like deadweight. I hope it continues like that and resolves itself completely at the end of this season. The last thing I want is for it to sputter on beyond that as a ghost of itself.
