TV fans had a big Sunday night, as not only did "Boardwalk Empire" come to an explosive finale, but AMC's "The Walking Dead" also wrapped up the first half of its sixteen episode season three. With the rest of the season not slated to air until early 2013, those eager to see where the zombie drama will go next will have to patiently wait, but the network isn't leaving them completely high and dry.

Previews for the second half of season 3 and episode 9 have dropped, that will hoepfully be enough to tide people over for now. With Rick and the Governor headed for a showdown, there is much, much more to come. And perhaps most intriguing, it looks like Daryl is going to be in some serious hot water as season three continues.

Check out the trailers below and let us know your thoughts on season three so far, and where you would like to see it go next. "The Walking Dead" returns on February 10, 2013. [IndieWire]
