Watch: Red Band Comic-Con Trailer For ‘Sin City: A Dame To Kill For’ Brings The Sex & The Sizzle

The Playlist By Edward Davis | The Playlist July 28, 2014 at 12:26PM

Some filmmakers you can count on being at Comic-Con every year no matter what, and Robert Rodriguez is one of them. In fact, check out this interesting fact. Warner Bros. and D.C. used two hours of Hall H Comic-Con time to promote three films and probably a handful of other projects. In contrast, Dimension Films is using an entire hour for one film and one film only, “Sin City: A Dame To Kill For” (sorry I refuse to put Frank Miller’s name in the title as that’s just needlessly long, at least Lee Daniels legally had to). If there’s a studio or a filmmaker who loves and lives and dies by his Comic-Con crowd, Rodriguez is certainly close to the top and today, the trailer unspooled in San Diego has landed online.

It provides new footage, plus lots of sizzle, sex, violence and thrilling action that Rodriguez is known for and if you liked the last film, presumably this one won’t disappoint either (and in case you missed it Miller and Rodriguez were talking up "Sin City 3" in San-Diego). The all-star ensemble includes original cast members Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Jude Ciccolella, Powers Boothe, and Mickey Rourke. Newcomers to the series include Eva Green, Josh Brolin, Jamie Chung, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Marton Csokas, Christopher Lloyd, Julia Garner, Juno Temple, Ray Liotta, Stacy Keach, Christopher Meloni, Lady Gaga, Jeremy Piven and Crystal McCahill.

That’s quite the cast, and you get a taste of many of them in this new trailer. Lots of new character posters have been released and you can check those out below too. “Sin City: A Dame To Kill For” opens on August 22nd via Dimension Films. Watch the trailer and let us know what you think.
