Oh hey, remember "The Darkest Hour"? It's the other movie that's opening this weekend, but Summit seem to have a stinker on their hands as it's not screening for critics and the cast don't seem to be doing any interviews for it at all. Sounds great! But the marketing department has to earn their paycheck, so here's a viral clip for the movie that's fairly intriguing, but can't help shake the stink off the movie.
Anyway, in case you haven't been following, "The Darkest Hour" stars Emile Hirsch, Olivia Thirlby and Joel Kinnaman and finds a bunch of young Americans, in Russia, who have to deal with an alien invasion from a race that seems to be invisible and is feeding off Earth's healthy electricity supply. In this little clip, a Russian reporter is getting ready to broadcast when some serious shit goes down. And that's about it. It's pretty interesting we guess, though not quite inspired -- we can watch the trailer and see the same thing. But as a tease of what's to come, it works.
If you've seen every other worthy movie at the box office this weekend and still need to occupy your time, "The Darkest Hour" lands on Christmas Day. Watch below. [via Collider]
