10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesAnd so, here comes MacFarlane with his first feature film "Ted" and for better or worse, his trademark is all over this. This time around the non-human character he gives voice to is Ted, a stuffed teddy bear that comes to life thanks to a Christmas wish, and is now the best friend/roommate of John (Mark Wahlberg). But after 25 years together, John is ready to settle down Lori (Mila Kunis) who wants Ted to move out, and of course, complications arise. It's probably not a spoiler to tell you that by the end of this red band trailer, you'll hear an anal sex joke, see a reference to a blowjob and watch a boob get squeezed. Hilarious? While this wasn't nearly as gut-busting as we would've hoped (Kunis deserves so much more than playing the straight woman here), Wahlberg looks to be in awesome form, and easily far more funny than the title character by a country mile.
Anyway, we'll see how it all plays out on July 13th. Watch below. Update: Less foul mouth green band trailer has arrived as well, watch it below. [via Collider]

Looks dumb. Lazy writing.

Isn't this just a rip off of the show "Wilfred" starring Elija Wood and a pot smoking, foul mouthed dog?

I wonder if there'll be any cutaways, constant references to anything but the plot at hand, or 10 minute musical sequences that are basically filler.
If not, it'll be interesting to see a Seth McFarlane production that doesn't have ADD.

Looks like this m.f. thing is pretty lay-back, one of them among the potential blockbusters coming this summer. 8)

Couldn't even TRY to use a voice other than Peter Griffin, eh Seth?

Quick, somebody get MacFarlane's ego reduced and send ALF a royalty check.

OMG, A TEDDYBEAR TALKING ABOUT SEX! AND HE SMOKES POT! HOW KEEERAZY IS THAT!?!?!?! MacFarlane must be doing something right given how much money he has but goddamn is he a lazy writer.

This looks absolutely retarded. I must say the supposed raunchy comedies this summer (this, The Dictator, That's My Boy) look atrocious. I'm afraid this is the summer of the epics (Dark Knight, Snow White, Prometheus), not the stupid comedies.

I don't usually find Wahlberg funny when he's trying to be funny (i.e. The Other Guys) but watching him rattle off all those names is high-larious.
