10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesWes Anderson regular Waris Ahluwalia (Vikram in "The Life Aquatic" and Chief Steward in "The Darjeeling Limited") is the brainchild of the whole thing, and what you might not know, is that his regular gigs include jewelry making, running a tea shop (found under the High Line in New York City) and repping Luxury Collection's Global Explorer as their brand developer. Anyway, he helped wrangle together a few folks he's worked before including "I Am Love" star and director Tilda Swinton and Luca Guadagnino and fellow Anderson pal, Jason Schwartzman to put together the spot. And the result is a short film starring model Agyness Deyn that is actually every bit as well framed and beautiful Guadagnino's celebrated film.
Co-written by Swinton and artist Sandro Kopp and scored by Schwartzman, the concept is simple enough, following a young woman who travels across America and just happens to roam around some of those gorgeous Starwood Hotels that will cost you a week's salary just to say a couple of days (Vermont's Equinox Resort, Scottsdale's the Phoenician and the Royal Hawaiian in Waikiki are featured in case you're wondering). Anyway, give it a spin below and go an a vacation from your desk. [via Wall Street Journal]
