Watch: 6 Clips And New Images From Seth MacFarlane's 'A Million Ways To Die In The West'

The Playlist By Mark Zhuravsky | The Playlist May 23, 2014 at 12:18PM

It really does feel like Seth MacFarlane is living the dream—capitalizing on the success of "Ted" by writing, producing, directing and starring in "A Million Ways to Die in the West." Westerns are notoriously tricky box office fare but if the new promotional material, here in the form of six clips and eleven images, is anything to judge by, fans of "Ted" can rest easy. The irreverence du jour and the bread and butter of MacFarlane's animated empire is on buoyant display, but will the period trappings mesh with the leading man's contemporary riffing?

The co-stars, including Charlize Theron, Amanda Seyfried, Giovanni Ribisi, Neil Patrick Harris, Sarah Silverman and Liam Neeson, appear to be game for a historical skewering and the jokes are fired off at furious speed, though less land than you might expect. In any case, check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.

The live-action Western comedy hopes to pack butts in the seats on May 30th. [Collider]
