Well, we'll give the trailer for "Grudge Match" this much credit: for a premise that could so easily devolve into Rocky vs. Jake LaMotta gags, there's only one direct reference to Sylvester Stallone's franchise and it's actually tolerable and tasteful. So kudos. As for the rest?

Well, you can judge for yourself as the first trailer for the movie is here and in terms of old-people-doing-stuff laffers coming before the the end of the year, this at least looks for more interesting than "Last Vegas." The storyline, such as it is, follows Razor (Stallone) and Kid (De Niro), two retired boxers who get in the ring one last time to settle the score on who is the better pugilist. Keep the energy high is the always loveable Kevin Hart, while some dramatic elements add some weight to the proceedings.

Co-starring Kim Basinger and Alan Arkin, "Grudge Match" gets in the corner on Christmas Day.
