Yes, we're right in the scrum of wrapping up 2012 with a flurry of lists and awards of the best, worst and everything in between. But before the clock runs down on the year, TCM has taken the time to honor those in the industry who left us this year in their always touching, annual video memorium.

Yes, we're right in the scrum of wrapping up 2012 with a flurry of lists and awards of the best, worst and everything in between. But before the clock runs down on the year, TCM has taken the time to honor those in the industry who left us this year in their always touching, annual video memorium.

Powered by M83's "Wait," the five-minute spot quietly honors a variety of folks, from filmmakers Tony Scott and Theo Angelopoulos, to critic Andrew Sarris, author Rad Bradbury, actors Andy Griffith and Michael Clarke Duncan, composer Marvin Hamlisch and many, many more. It's a sombre reminder of the talent who lit up our imaginations, whose voices we'll never get to experience again. But luckily, their legacies are preserved in the films that will be enjoyed for generations to come. Take a look at the tribute below.
