Jason Blum has a strategy: make 'em fast, make 'em cheap, hope they stick. When you're not spending much money, that means you're not taking much risk, and that allows for a greater reward if it pays off. And so the guy behind "Paranormal Activity," "The Purge," "Sinister" and "Insidious" is rolling the dice again with "Jessabelle."
The trailer for the horror flick is here, and it promises the familiar with creepy tapes, ghosts, haunted houses and Southern accents, oh my! Sarah Snook and Mark Webber star in this one about a woman who is forced to return to her father's home in Louisiana when a car accident leaves her without the use of her legs. She then discovers a bunch of weird mysterious things and "Saw 3D" helmer Kevin Greutert is there to make sure the jump scares and eerie imagery all comes together. It's a recipe you've tasted more than once.
But hell, if you want a little more, this opens on August 29th.
