"The Tom Hardy Puppy Party" aka "The Drop" is coming to theatres next month, and it fills two crucial Playlist criteria for highlighting movies: it stars Tom Hardy and it has puppies. Nothing else matters. We'll watch it. Today, a new clip from the film arrived, providing, you guessed it, another look at Tom Hardy and puppies.

Should anyone need a little more context, the movie co-stars Noomi Rapace, James Gandolfini and Matthias Schoenaerts and tells the story of a bartender who gets mixed up in a robbery gone wrong. He also gets a dog, and as you'll see in this clip, he loses the battle to name the puppy Mike. And the entire movie isn't just Tom Hardy hanging out with dogs, as another new clip shows the late Gandolfini making it look easy as he always did.

"The Drop" will premiere at TIFF and open on September 19th. Michael Roskam ("Bullhead") directs. Watch below.
