10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesDirected by Ruper Sanders and starring Chris Hemsworth, Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, Sam Clafin, Lily Cole and Sam Spruell, the film is a retelling of the classic fairy tale in which the woodsman (Hemsworth), who is meant to bump off the titular princess (Stewart), winds up training her instead to fight her evil stepmother (Theron). It's going to be bit more of a serious take on the story than Tarsem's kiddie-driven "Mirror Mirror," which easily explains the darker, heavier tone in the trailer. Theron looks like she's loving every minute as the baddie, playing the evil queen with some sexy panache. Hemsworth still seems to be in Thor mode (though, it's effective), and as for Stewart? Well, Bella fans might be a bit bummed because there's not much of her in this spot, though the brief instances of her wearing armor and wielding a sword are promising. The special effects look solid, the scope is there, so yeah, as far as first impressions go, so far, so good.
"Snow White And The Huntsman" will ask you to look in the mirror on June 1, 2012.

Wow, looking great! I love Charlize Theron, but what's up with the accent? She doesn't really pull it off :( Will Kirsten speak with a British accent as well? Lets hope not... I will see this. I will NOT se Mirror, Mirror (frankly it looks like a joke).

I'm impressed (I guess) by the look of the film and its effects so far, but definitely not original or breathtaking . I love Theron, but just talking slowly with a British accent doesn't necessarily convey evil to me.....it just seems like lazy directing. As far as the plot....Yawn.

Well it's a teaser trailer , eventually we will see a fuller one later on . From what I see so far it looks very good . Can't wait for it ... People should really lighten up on the Kristen Stewart negativity , really it does get tired after a while , don't know why some people still go on about that ... Please find another scapegoat to complaint about this topic is so done !!!!! Let's move for chrissake people!!!!

Wow! I didn't think I would like this film but this trailer makes me want to see it now! Charlize is badass! I like the effects! Yummy huntsman! I will see this!

Wow, I actually liked that, which I wasn't expecting. It may be silly and over-serious in the end, but the effects and overall look of the thing are great.

Nice to see (actually, hear) that the music from Inception's trailer is already being recycled! The film looks a lot more interesting than I thought it would be when I first read about it.

Not totally convinced the gritty/unsmiling approach to Snow White is the way to go. Makes me think of Ridley's Robin Hood, and how ridiculous and boring people thought that was.
I respect Rupert Sanders (that "Spaces In Between" music video is dope), and I love Charlize, but I'm not counting out Mirror Mirror yet.

Well that didn't take long.

Trying to hide something here, Universal?

Why no seven dwarves in the trailer? Snow White and the Huntsman will be better than Mirror, Mirror because it has the stronger cast and it will be at least be the more critically successful movie. In addition, unlike Mirror, Mirror, the Queen in this film looks like an evil villain.

looks alright...looks like Charlize is the star and not Kristen........which is good

Looks great, never thought i would be into the Snow White story but seeing it like this it actually seems like a decent plot! Charlize and Kristen are not bad on the eyes either
