Watch: Trailer For 'Resident Evil: Retribution' Is Everything You Expect & Nothing More

Milla Jovovich looking amazing in a tight leather outfit? Check. Zombie monster thingies? Check. Evil corporation? Check. 3D? Check? Endless amounts of CGI? Check. The first trailer for "Resident Evil: Retribution" is here and it delivers everything fans expect from this never-ending series and nothing more.

Even with Michelle Rodriguez and Sienna Guillory returning to the franchise, not much has been done to shake up the formula which has done Screen Gems so well, and who can blame them? If ain't broke, don't fix it. So this time around it seems Alice finds out her brain has been fried like "Total Recall" or something, the entire world is danger and blah blah blah explosions backflip she teams up with her buds to save the day. This is all pretty rote, formula stuff and by this point you're either with the franchise or not. And that's about it.

Enough with the "throw gun, mag, baby, whatever" in the air just to catch it in time and use it. Why bother, just use it. It doesn't make any (much) sense, plus it almost always looks stupid.
