Watch: Trailer For Season 3 Of 'Downton Abbey'

This writer has yet to experience the phenomenon that is "Downton Abbey," but knows enough to realize that the trailer for season 3 is kind of like a big deal. With Shirley MacLaine now on board, another interesting ingredient has be added to the show, and if you want to see where it goes next, well just read on.

As Vulture inform us, there is a lot going on here with Bates in prison, Branson returning from exile, Matthew and Mary fighting, the Abbey itself on the brink of financial collapse and more. And oh, so much brooding and stares! But basically, the prospect of MacLaine and Maggie Smith giving weekly acting lessons is enticing enough to make us want to catch up with the last two seasons and dive into the third. However, television networks like to pretend that piracy doesn't exist and old models of delivery still work, and thus "Downton Abbey" will first air overseas in September on ITV before landing on PBS in January. We're sure the diehard fans have already figured out how they're going to get caught up without having to wait. Watch below.
