10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesThe first trailer for the prequel series "The Carrie Diaries" has dropped and, being a CW show, it looks pretty terrible. Again based on the book by Candance Bushnell, the series will rewind and catch up with Carrie -- now played by AnnaSophia Robb -- in the '80s riding through her senior year of high school, when an internship brings her to Manhattan. All the trademarks of the original show are here including tedious voiceover narration, a new Mr. Big (Sebastian!), and a new gaggle of trendy friends who go to hip parties. All with an extra dose of Daddy issues.
To be fair, it's about as "good" as we figured, but in the era of "Girls," this feels particularly musty and outdated. Watch below. [The Telegraph]

AnnaSophia Robb and Freema Agyeman are the only good things about this series.

See how is not hard to have diversity.... and I love Freema Agyeman. I will watch because of her.

Seeing Knives Chau in that show is so depressing...

She's got a black friend and an Asian friend at least, which is more than you can say about Girls.
