10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesStarring Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz, with Michael Hoffman ("Game 6," "The Last Station") at the helm, the remake of the 1966 Shirley MacLaine/Michael Caine film follows a thief (Firth) who plans to steal a statue from one of the wealthiest men in the world, and enlists the help of a woman (Diaz) who is a dead ringer for the man's late wife to help him with the job. But thus far, in the brief bit of footage that has debuted on British TV, it appears the comedy revolves around naked men and wacky, obviously terrible accents. Ha ha? We have to say this is a bit more broad, less sharp than we were expecting.
The full trailer will likely be just around the corner and we'll get a better sense of things. "Gambit" opens on in the U.K. on November 21st while a U.S. date is still being locked down. [Bleeding Cool]
