Just as that whole, weird Jay Z/Solange elevator dust up is clearing out of the tabloid food chain, it looks like the rapper and his wife Beyoncé have found a whole new way to weird us out. With the pair embarking shortly on a summer tour, they've dropped the trailer for the short film "Run" and we can't make heads or tails of this thing.

Run

Just as that whole, weird Jay Z/Solange elevator dust up is clearing out of the tabloid food chain, it looks like the rapper and his wife Beyoncé have found a whole new way to weird us out. With the pair embarking shortly on a summer tour, they've dropped the trailer for the short film "Run" and we can't make heads or tails of this thing.

Music video director Melina Matsoukas gets behind the camera for this thing, an action movie that will be "coming never." And perhaps that's a good thing, because we can't tell if this star-studded endeavor—which enlists the talents of Sean Penn, Don Cheadle, Emmy Rossum, Jake Gyllenhaal, Blake Lively and Rashida Jones among others—is supposed to come off as tough and gangsta or a parody of that kind of thing. But it does feature a shot of Beyoncé lounging around in a pool full of money, which probably isn't too far away from reality.

Anyhow, check it out below and you can see Hov and Bey on the road starting next month (though they probably won't be robbing banks). [High Snobiety]
