So, how successful is the Spanish horror franchise "[REC]"? Well, the original was released just a few years ago in 2007 and we're already on the third installment with a fourth entry, "[Rec] Apocalypse" already planned. But before we get to that, "[REC] 3 Genesis" will arrive to keep the magic going.
While this writer thinks the first "[REC]" is wildly overrated -- it's a pretty average horror pic that relies far too heavily on jump scares rather than any genuine thrills -- the fans have enjoyed it far more, so hey, more power to them. And we have to admit, this teaser for '[REC] 3' is pretty impressive. Using primarily a photo montage, it shows a wedding that has gone horribly wrong. This film will find the infection moving outside the setting of the first two films, which should bring an added twist to the proceedings.
Paco Plaza takes a break from his co-director on the first two films Jaume Balagueró to helm this one on his own. No U.S. release date yet, but it will hit theaters in Spain in March 2012. Check it out below. [STYD]

This writer thinks the first had a nice blend of shock cuts and genuine creepy chills and the second was even better, but what are the chances they will build in quality from there?

Is there any possible way that this movie doesn't end with the bride forced to kill her zombified husband?
