"Rubber" is about a killer tire. Yes, a tire. And that's all you need to know really and if the gonzo concept isn't enough to get you interested, than this hilariously outrageous red band trailer for the film should do the trick.
The film, directed by Quentin Dupieux also known as Mr. Oizo, the French electro musician who also provides the score has been making the festival rounds picking up strong notices and is already available for your viewing pleasure on VOD. But in a rare (and heartening) move, Magnet continues to push the film in advance of its theatrical release, and this R-rated spot serves up some head exploding goodness. And while the campy violence is appreciated, if we're taking away anything from the trailer, it's how beautifully lensed it is; visually, "Rubber" is a knockout.
The film will hit theaters on April 1st. Check out the trailer below (sorry int'l folks; this is one is only viewable in North America). [via /Film]

Rubber and Hobo With A Shotgun are looking to be the true grindhouse movies people have been waiting for. And they also look like the most fun you'll get out of a movie this year as well.

I agree. Highly unlikely that tires could acquire sentience, let alone telekinetic abilities LOL!!
