Taylor Lautner is being groomed to be an action star once all that "Twilight" business is over and done with and his first effort out of the gate is the Jason Bourne-like "Abduction" and all we can say is...crawl before you try to run Jacob.
A new trailer has landed for the film and it's a quick and dirty one minute long and unfortunately, rather than displaying Lautner's ability to kick ass, it finds him mostly running away while other more established actors are killed or maimed. Depressingly directed by John Singleton, the film co-stars Lily Collins as Lautner’s love interest, with the story centering on a young man (the washboard stomach kid) who uncovers the truth about his life after finding his baby photo on a missing persons website. He then is chased for the rest of the movie. Alfred Molina, Maria Bello, Sigourney Weaver and Michael Nyqvist funded vacations by appearing in the film which looks like it's doing everything possible to stay on this side of an R-rating (gotta get those tweens).
"Abduction" will try and steal money out of your wallet on September 23rd. Check out the trailer below (embed via The Film Stage) or in hi-def at Apple. Pics from THR.

Why would I watch ‘Abduction’? I couldn’t take any of that seriously at all. Taylor Lautner, you pathetic 19 year old Jason Bourne wannabe! Walking around all dressed in black!
