The charm offensive for Richard Ayoade's "Submarine" has been in full force. A solid one sheet and a lovely trailer combined with strong word from TIFF and Sundance has created undeniable buzz around the picture that continues today with a video for "Piledriver Waltz," one of the songs written by Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner for the soundtrack.
Featuring the film's leads Craig Roberts and Yasmin Paige, the video is a sweet little super 8-styled home movie with Turner's song the driving force behind the images. Simple, yet effective. Not coincidentally, the soundtrack EP hits stores tomorrow on CD and 10" vinyl.
"Submarine" opens this Friday in the U.K., and on June 3rd in the U.S.
