Cable TV enthusiasts...the drought is over. While this summer brought "Louie," "The Newsroom" and "Breaking Bad" to the small screen to tide folks over, with the fall rolling in, those DVRs are going to be exercised harder as a batch of programs return. With "Boardwalk Empire," "Dexter," "Treme" and more to start soon, it won't stop there as next month, AMC's "The Walking Dead" will be hoping to deliver its best season yet.

This writer hasn't watched the program, but apparently, the prison is a big deal for fans of the show and comic and this year, they get there. The new trailer for season 3 is a pretty action-heavy affair, promising some slice and dice stuff that should be fun to watch. But will the show be able to move forward after losing two key characters? We'll see, but with David Morrissey on board as The Governer, Danai Gurira as Michonne, and Michael Rooker returning as Merle, they've got a good shot.

"The Walking Dead" arrives on October 19th. Watch below and check out some new pics as well. [Bleeding Cool/Yahoo]
