10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesWhile IFC Films picked up the rights for the film here in the United States last week, Creevy has tweeted that “Welcome to the Punch” will hit cinemas on March 15, 2013 in the U.K. No word on what that means for the U.S. and other territories, but chances are pretty good we could see this one at Sundance or even SXSW in 2013. Based on Creevy's Brit List script, the story follows an ex-criminal who is forced to return to London from his Icelandic hideaway when his son is involved in a heist gone wrong. This gives a dogged detective one last chance to catch the man he’s always been after.
The film made our most anticipated of the year list back in January, so it’s no surprise we’re happy to see that Creevy’s follow-up to the superb “Shifty” is well on its way to the silver screen...even if it might be a bit later than we would've wanted. But perhaps we'll get a trailer soon? Here's hoping.

I have a good feeling for this one. Love the Michael Mann-feel!
