Well, we already got a peek at what Toby Jones looks like as Alfred Hitchock in "The Girl" -- one of two movies on the way about the director -- and now it's time for Anthony Hopkins to step into the famous silhouette, and it's pretty impressive.

People have dropped the first look at "Hitchcock" (formerly known as "Alfred Hitchock And The Making Of Psycho"), which started filming last Friday the 13th (of course), and kudos to the makeup department because that is one helluva transformation. Impressive stuff. Sacha Gervasi is directing the star-studded pic that will chronicle the making of the classic horror film that found Hitchock battling an indifferent studio, while still managing to make one of the most iconic movies of all time.

Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson, James D'Arcy, Jessica Biel, Toni Colette, Danny Huston, Michael Stuhlbarg, Michael Wincott, Kurtwood Smith, Wallace Langham and Ralph Macchio (yes, that Ralph Macchio) all co-star, and is it too early to say we're excited? Well, we're excited.

He's the only actor who can pull it off, I think. I can't say though I'm overexcited for this project. Can anyone please write another movie for him and Emma Thompson? I'd like tos see them working together again.

Hopkins as Hitchcock.....Brilliant. Anthony Hopkins is the only actor out there who has what it takes to portray"Hitch." Alfred Hitchcock is an icon; it takes an icon to portray one and Anthony Hopkins fills the bill. Whether or not the film is spectacular, I'm sure Anthony Hopkins will be.

Too early to judge it but I have a feeling in my gut that this will turn out to be yet another Iron Lady: a mediocre, blandly-executed period piece mounted for the sole purpose of getting it's star an award. A bit unfair I know but more often than not these kinds of films are by-the-books to a fault. It also sucks that Toby is going to be completely overshadowed by a bigger name again.

I like everything about this except the inclusion of J Biel. Stick with your shitty movies, little lady.

Kudos to you! I entirely agree.

You should tell us who did the make up. I'd like to know that.

Once again it seems Toby Jones will be overshadowed when portraying a well known celebrity in close proximity to another actor's performance. My first thought about the 'The Girl' image was that he looks almost nothing like Hitchcock, and then here comes the uncanny resemblance of Hopkins (with prosthesis).
