Review: 'The Immigrant'Deadline reports that Allen wants Cate Blanchett and Bradley Cooper to take roles in the currently untitled movie. And well, that's about it. A couple of weeks ago, it was said that the director was considering Copenhagen as the setting for his Euro backed film, but Munich has also been in the mix and we're sure there is no shortage of cities and countries willing to extend very generous tax and production incentives to land Allen and the inevtiable bevy of stars he'll bring for this next project. As usual, there are zero plot details.
For Blanchett and Cooper, it will be an opportunity to scratch Allen off their director wish list and be a rite of passage that many stars in Hollywood have taken. But there is still lots of time to go, so we'll see how the final cast eventually shakes out.

If he's readying a cast in April, that means he's shooting over the summer - this has been the schedule over the last couple of movies. The Copenhagen story was denied by his management and I don't think there's any other source that points to him skipping his yearly film. I'm going to put my money on him making a movie this year with these two people - and casting announcements coming up in the next month or so.

Wow. When was the last time Allen didn't shoot a film over the summer!?
Not like his movies take a long time to make (and will probably be pushed for a late Fall release) but if this next film didn't get released in 2013 that would make it the first year since 1981 without an Allen flick. Wowza.
