Documentaries On Willie Nelson & Hole Drummer Patty Schemel To Screen As Well; Park Chan-wook's iPhone Film Makes Stateside Debut

With SXSW kicking off in just over a week, organizers have put the finishing touches on their schedule announcing the closing film of the festival and as well as some exciting new titles that are beefing up an already stellar lineup.

Little did we know that Billy Bob Thornton was making a documentary on Willie Nelson, but he did, and "The King of Luck" will be the closing selection of the festival. Perhaps the biggest addition to the fest is a work-in-progress screening of Paul Feig's forthcoming comedy "Bridesmaids." The already hotly-touted female-led ensemble comedy should attract a big crowd in Austin. A couple short films making their debuts of note include "Night Fishing," the iPhone shot short film by Park Chan-wook and Park Chan-kyong, as well as "Umshini Wam," directed by Harmony Korine and featuring the duo of Die Antwoord. We assume this is the same project that was announced last fall; at the time it was said it was being primed for the Rotterdam Film Festival but a quick look at the schedule reveals that never happened.

Other titles of note include a documentary on Hole drummer Patty Schemel titled "Hit So Hard" and an intriguing short film directed by Rainn Wilson and presumably featuring the titular band, "The Blitzen Trapper Massacre." Better start re-organizing your calendars folks. Check out the full slate of new films below.
