'The Dark Knight Rises' To Feature Catwoman? Christopher Nolan Seeking Love Interest & Villain

Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway & Keira Knightley In The Mix; Tom Hardy Reportedly Playing A VillainHere we go again. We probably could have broken this story ourselves as every one of these names have cropped up in recent casting rounds, but the most intriguing part of this story are not the names attached, but the revelation that Christopher Nolan is seeking two female leads for "The Dark Knight Rises": one, a love interest for Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale), the other, for a villain. This really only leaves a few possibilities for the potential foe of Batman (unless Nolan is going really obscure): Catwoman, Poison Ivy or as some of our readers have suggested, Talia al Ghul.

So, before everyone starts weighing in, just bear in mind this rumor comes from Comic Book Movie who take non-vetted contributions from any yahoo on the Internet whether it be total bullshit or not. That said, they have been on the right track a few times and some of these casting rumors for Christopher Nolan's forthcoming "The Dark Knight Rises" could possibly make sense.

After months and months of speculation, some firm information on the third Batman finally appeared yesterday, courtesy of director Christopher Nolan. It'll be called "The Dark Knight Rises," and it won't be in 3D. Plus, a little while ago, we discovered that actor Tom Hardy will be joining the cast of the film in a role that most assume to be villainous in nature. But Nolan also debunked something that many had believed to be a certainty: that one of the classics in the Batman rogue's gallery, The Riddler (previously played by Jim Carrey in "Batman Forever"), would be the villain in the picture.

"We're Finishing Something, And Keeping A Consistency With What's Come Before Has Real Value"Christopher Nolan's announcement yesterday regarding his third Batman film brought news both surprising -- the yeast-y title "The Dark Knight Rises," the revelation that the villain wouldn't be The Riddler, who's been rumored for years at this point -- and unsurprising -- the confirmation that Nolan, no fan of the 3D craze, wouldn't shoot the new film in three dimensions.
