Frank Miller isn't a complicated man, but his work does seem to suggest that he's fine with sticking to the "Sin City"/"The Spirit" millieu thankyouverymuch. And after teaming with Evan Rachel Wood and Chris Evans a couple of years ago for a stylish Gucci spot, the director has paired up with the actors again to make another ad for the fashion house.

That was fast. Yesterday Joseph Gordon-Levitt joined Robert Rodriguez's "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For" and Josh Brolin was said to be one of the additional actors potentially joining the cast. Now Brolin is confirmed. Dimension Films announced today that Brolin has joined the "Sin City" sequel cast as “Dwight," the character that Clive Owen played in the original film for co-directors Rodriguez and Frank Miller. Evidently there's still one more big part up for grabs. After all, the film was relatively inexpensive to make, and there were plenty more stories from Frank Miller's source material comics that could lead to another film. But between the ups and downs of the Weinstein Brothers' Dimension Films, the busy-ness of co-director Robert Rodriguez, and the difficulty of re-assembling the all-star cast, it was much-discussed, but never quite came together.

Director Robert Rodriguez has been promising a sequel to his beloved 2005 neo-noir "Sin City" for so long that it began to fall into the "we'll believe it when we see it" category. But the dream is now a reality. Titled, "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For," Dimension Films, AR Films and Rodriguez's recently formed Quick Draw Productions announced this evening that production had begun on the sequel and that casting would begin next week.
