With the recent trailer for James Gunn’s “Guardians Of The Galaxy” and the forthcoming Edgar Wright-helmed “Ant-Man,” it’s clear Marvel Studios is pulling from the deep bench now and while it remains to be seen how the casual moviegoing audience is going to respond to a gun-toting talking raccoon in space, the comics giant-turned-movie company is only focused on getting more strange.

While Warner Bros. waits to see how "Man Of Steel" does in a couple of weeks, which in turn will decide what happens with the massive roster of DC Comics properties they are currently sitting on, it seems some small moves are being made. Stuck in development hell forever, it looks like DC/Vertigo series "Fables" has finally found a helmer...and it's something of an unlikely choice.

Though last year’s “Hitchcock” wasn’t as much as an awards contender as originally thought (HBO’s Toby Jones and Sienna Miller-starring “The Girl” didn’t arrive to much fanfare either), it hasn’t cooled Hollywood’s interest in bringing the works of Alfred Hitchcock to a younger generation. Deadline is reporting that DreamWorks and Working Title’s brewing remake of the iconic director’s “Rebecca” has landed itself a director.
