'A Star Is Born' Scribe Will Fetters Says His Male Lead Is Pretty Much A 50-Year-Old Kurt Cobain

Over the years, there's been no less than three versions of "A Star is Born," with the two lead characters reinvented on each occasion: James Mason and Judy Garland, Janet Graynor and Fredic March, then Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. With R&B star Beyonce on board, we're getting yet another iteration of the story in Clint Eastwood's gestating project, with scribe Will Fetters now revealing an intriguing grunge icon as his personal inspiration for the story.
