A source tells The Reeler that film critic/alleged stalker Michael Isbell--with whom this site has enjoyed some fabulous conversation over the last week or so--is now officially an ex-Ain't it Cool staffer.

Better known as AIC's New York envoy Sheldrake, Isbell's name is nowhere to be found today on the site's contact list. The terms of Isbell's departure remain unclear; word has it he was fired, but AIC honcho Harry Knowles was unavailable this morning for comment.

Hopefully, I will have additional news later, or--perhaps more hopefully--I will wake up and the whole thing will just be a shudder-inducing dream.
