Ain't It Uncool, Part V: Isbell Returns to Glory

The system works! Sheldrake rides again!

Oh, joy! I never thought I would see the day that Michael Isbell would soar from the ashes of stalking charges and radical time-travel delusions to reclaim his fanboy critic prestige at Ain't It Cool News.

You may remember The Reeler's Isbell coverage from last month, which followed a Daily News story about an supposed love triangle between Isbell, publicist Anthea Liontos and disgraced Vivendi chief Jean-Marie Messier. Isbell wound up facing fourth-degree stalking and child-endangerment charges, and got fired went on hiatus from AICN a few days after sending a pair of fantastically creative e-mails to The Reeler.

My suspicions arched after Rush & Molloy wrote in their Aug. 2 column that Isbell had been reinstated to his post while awaiting trial here in New York. And then today--miracle of Christ-humping miracles!--a Reeler spy forwarded a message from Isbell himself:

the sheldrake mail account at AintItCool.Com is working again. Sorry for the recent problems and our slowness in dealing with them. Send PR releases and anything else New York related to Shelrake@aintitcool.com [sic].

Yay! We missed you, "Shelrake"! I think this proves once and for all that you cannot keep a good man down--only his spellcheck. Welcome back, Mike!
