Levin and Shabazz: HBO's Fight of the Week?
Marc Levin (L) with a few of the cheery subjects of his Protocols of Zion (Not pictured: Malik Zulu Shabazz) Lloyd Grove puts down his lethal chocolate ganache this morning for a closer look at Marc Levin, the noted NYC documentarian whose Slam captivated Sundance in 1998 and whose latest film--Protocols of Zion--takes a post-9/11 look at one of 20th century "literature"'s most notorious sources of anti-Semitism. This time around, however, Grove really does have the lowdown on the race riot a-brewin' over at HBO--where Levin has invited the batshit, Jew-hating, Black Panther revisionist attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz to join tomorrow night's private screening: (F)or me, it's a big shock that Levin has invited Shabazz to tomorrow night's screening at HBO headquarters. Hey, but even if Shabazz does not, Levin made the Daily News with three-and-a-half weeks to go before Protocols' Oct. 21 release, which should allow for plenty more radical interspecies stunts in the period ahead. There is already a Lincoln Center panel discussion scheduled for Oct. 19; maybe Tom Metzger or David Duke might have an opening in their calendars? Naturally, bonus points to anyone at tomorrow night's screening who can tip off The Reeler to all the chair-throwing highlights. Posted by stvanairsdale on Sep 27, 2005 at 09:26AM |
