
Kristin Scott Thomas had a double whammy at the London Film Fest, starring as John Lennon’s Aunt Mimi in Nowhere Boy and as a sexy adulterer in the French hit Partir (Leaving).
Partir (which showed in Toronto) stars Scott Thomas in French mode. In Nowhere Boy she’s a prim stiff-upper-lip Brit. In Partir, she’s a gorgeous married woman in her prime who loses control as she falls passionately in love with a Spanish builder (Sergi Lopez). Directed by Catherine Corsini, the movie starts off as an agitated woman lies next to a sleeping man, gets out of bed, returns to the room and fires a gun. This sexy and unpredictable movie shows us exactly what drives her to it.
