Cannes to Close with Jerome Salle's Thriller 'Zulu,' Starring Forest Whitaker and Orlando Bloom

The 66th Cannes Film Festival (running May 15 through 26) will close with Jerome Salle's thriller "Zulu," starring Forest Whitaker and Orlando Bloom. The film is shot entirely on location in South Africa, and is adapted from the novel of the same name by Caryl Ferey.

In the Works: Robert Redford Set to Star in David Lowery's Next Film, True-Crime Story 'The Old Man and the Gun'

Screen icon Robert Redford is attached to star in the next film by David Lowery, who caught plenty of buzz at this year's Sundance with his lyrical Western "Ain't Them Bodies Saints." The new project is "The Old Man and the Gun," an adaptation of David Grann's 2003 New Yorker article.

Weekend Preview: Critics Divided on Luminous 'To The Wonder,' '42' Neither Home-Run Nor Strike-Out, 'Disconnect' Connects

Terrence Malick's luminous, meditative portrait of romance in a small-town community, "To The Wonder," opens in theaters and on VOD this weekend. The film, which stars Olga Kurylenko, Ben Affleck, Javier Bardem and Rachel McAdams, is being met with varying critical response: Some love it (as I did), while others find the lyrical editing and whispy voiceover to be Malick repeating himself.
