Casting Watch: Who's Up for Finnick Odair in 'Catching Fire'? Only One Fits the Bill

I just fnished reading "Mockingjay," the third and final "Hunger Games" installment. Fair to say, the plot thickens and the action gets even more intense in "Catching Fire" and "Mockingjay" as Katniss Everdeen and her two rival swains Gale and Peeta go through several rings of fire.

EXCLUSIVE NEW TRAILER: Amy Seimetz's SXSW hit "Sun Don't Shine" Goes to Edinburgh Film Festival

One of the breakout hits at SXSW 2012 was Amy Seimetz's feature directing debut, the steamy Florida noir "Sun Don't Shine," a well-shot micro-budget portrait of a couple on the run for murder. The film will play at Rooftop Films' Annual Summer Series June 9th in a selection of SXSW films making their New York premieres, and will also head for the Edinburgh Film Festival on June 21. It still seeks a North American distributor.

Must-See "In The Family" is Indie Tragedy; Rookie Director Wang Says 'Enough Already' to Low Expectations and Garbage; EXCLUSIVE Clip

The definition of indie film is blurry these days. But Patrick Wang's debut feature, "In The Family," certainly fits the bill. The drama runs 169 minutes with mostly long single takes. It's about two gay dads; when one dies, the other wages a legal fight for custody of their child. Not an easy sell, especially without recognizable stars.

Review Round-Up and Featurette: Ridley Scott's "Prometheus" Promises Serious Eye-Candy

Ridley Scott's "Prometheus" premieres in the U.S. on June 8, but after overseas debuts in France, Russia, and England critics have inked their responses and some spoiler-heavy ones at that. The handful of critics who published early reviews agree that the film's visuals are stunning and Ridley Scott is right at home in the "world creation" part of his fantasy films. The new featurette on the space ship Prometheus posted below is irrefutable evidence of stunning visuals. It's still up for debate whether the movie provides substance to the heady questions of morality and existence.

Best Dressed at Cannes 2012: Chastain, Kruger, Cotillard, Bejo & Watts

It must be easier to get attention for a hideous dress than a knockout one at Cannes, which accounts for all the fashion disasters. But these ladies lit up the red carpet - some of them more than once. Juror Diane Kruger, Jessica Chastain, Marion Cotillard, Naomi Watts and Berenice Bejo are our Best Dressed of the festival. In the men's department, it's a very close tie between Ewan McGregor and Bill Murray.
