As the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences adjusts to a year of considerable change, new CEO Dawn Hudson is pushing forward with the new Academy Museum at LACMA West, the venerable May Company building.
Hudson has named staffer Heather Cochran and former Sundance fundraiser Bill Kramer to new posts as managing director and managing director, development, respectively, of the Academy Museum Project. Cochran, who has been staff administrator for the museum since 2004, will oversee the project, while Kramer, the former chief advancement officer for the Southern California Institute of Architecture, will be responsible for the museum’s capital campaign and fundraising efforts.
The Academy Museum recently acquired for its collection the ruby slippers from "The Wizard of Oz."
