Director Zack Snyder has added Oscar-winning character actress Holly Hunter to the cast of the still untitled Superman/Batman movie that Warner Bros. has wisely pushed back to May 6, 2016. He has also cast muscled action players Callan Mulvey ("300: Rise of an Empire") and Tao Okamoto ("The Wolverine"). Departing from the established DC canon (something Marvel rarely does), all three actors will play characters newly created for the film.

Ben Affleck may be on a roll in 2013, with Oscar-winning "Argo," and his casting as Batman in Zack Snyder's Superman-Batman installment, as well as the co-lead in David Fincher's "Gone Girl," but "Runner Runner" won't go down as another victory in his banner year.
