Everybody loves a comeback. Ben Affleck redeemed himself from "Jersey Girl" and Gigli" with "The Town" and "Argo," while President Obama gave Democrats hope by deciding to show up for his second debate against Mitt Romney after a frustratingly muted first round. So with the fall movie season upon us, HitFix names ten likely comebacks of the fall season, among them Robert De Niro, Jamie Foxx, Barbra Streisand, Helen Hunt and Robert Zemeckis. 'Cloud Atlas' Review and Roundup: And Now for Something Completely Different

One Toronto movie met mixed response but was a delirious joyride for me: "Cloud Atlas." Truth is, except for the flat "V for Vendetta" and the final pixel-fucked "Matrix" movie, I've admired all of the Wachowskis' output, even "Speed Racer." These filmmakers have it all: strong writing chops, an instinct for entertaining audiences, and compelling visual style.

The epic, six-minute trailer for Tom Tykwer and the Wachowskis' "Cloud Atlas," debuting at Toronto in September, is here. The adaptation of David Mitchell's novel stars -- deep breath -- Tom Hanks, Jim Sturgess, Ben Whishaw, Halle Berry, Jim Broadbent, Susan Sarandon, Hugo Weaving, Bae Doona, Zhou Xun and Hugh Grant, many of whom are in multiple roles and disguises.
