WATCH: First Trailer for David O. Russell's 'American Hustle,' Starring Bale, Cooper, Lawrence, Adams and Renner

The first trailer for David O. Russell's "American Hustle" has landed. Starring a knockout cast including Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Jennifer Lawrence, the film centers on the true story of the '70s ABSCAM operation where a con man (Bale) and his mistress (Adams) team up with a loose-cannon federal agent (Cooper) to, well, scam the scammers. Watch New Comic-Con 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' Trailer; Lawrence, Hutcherson Talk Making New Movie

For the first time Lionsgate brought "Hunger Games" to Hall H at Comic-Con. The original three books sold 50 million in the U.S. alone, and spent 200 consecutive weeks on the bestseller list more than three years. The first film is the 13th highest grossing of all time. The panel introduced new director Francis Lawrence, who replaced Gary Ross, and is directing not only "Catching Fire" (November 22) but the two "Mockingjay" films. The new trailer (below) looks strong as the story follows Suzanne Collins' novel.

New Character Posters for 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' Unveiled

Eleven new character posters have been released for Lionsgate's upcoming and feverishly anticipated "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," starring Jennifer Lawrence as warrior and emerging leader Katniss Everdeen. Adapted from the 2009 sci-fi novel by Suzanne Collins, this film is the sequel to the 2012 box office smash. Lionsgate will be promoting the film this weekend at Comic-Con, where the studio will debut the full theatrical trailer.

Comic-Con UPDATE: 'Metallica Through the Never,' Marvel, Sony, Fox Panels, Animation Talks Added to Lineup

Making a splash at 44-year-old Comic-Con will be rebooted indie distributor Picturehouse ("Pan's Labyrinth"), which is not only previewing clips from Nimrod Antal's 3-D IMAX film "Metallica Through the Never," but giving away 500 tickets to a live Metallica concert. Comic-Con has also added two days of animation events and panels.
