Showtime Renews Emmy-Nominated 'Masters of Sex' and 'Ray Donovan' for Third Seasons

My favorite summer TV series is "Masters of Sex," which has deepened its exploration of male-female relationship dynamics in its second season. So I'm delighted to report that Showtime has renewed the hourlong series about the work and life of the famous sex research couple Masters and Johnson for a third season, along with hardboiled drime series "Ray Donovan," starring Liev Schreiber and Jon Voight.

He was doing “Hamlet” while she was doing “Hot Tub Time Machine,” but Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan proved they are equally endowed with wit and comic timing in a delightful panel appearance at Paley Fest Monday night to promote “Masters of Sex.” The pair plays pioneering sex researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson in Showtime’s sharp freshman drama, which unfolds in the same era as “Mad Men.”
